Guided tour: Les Colombières garden

Guided tour: Les Colombières garden

Work by Ferdinand Bac (1859-1952), grandson of King Jérôme of Westphalia. The walk in the garden is a journey around the ancient Mediterranean, where Greek mythology comes to life. Classified as a Historic Monument.

Overlooking the Bay of Garavan, the Domaine des Colombières is the most beautiful creation of Ferdinand Bac, an artist, writer, and landscape designer of the Belle Époque. Rich in symbols, the garden invites an initiatory journey around the Mediterranean, both through its structures and statues evoking mythology and its vegetation, including centuries-old olive trees, pines, cypresses, and a magnificent thousand-year-old carob tree. The landscape staging is a hymn to the Mediterranean. The entire site is classified as a Historic Monument.
